What we collect

HealthCalc has no accounts and no login. Using any calculator means sending the numbers you typed — your height, weight, age, sex, activity level or pace — to our server so the calculation can run. That data is used to produce your result and is not stored, sold, or shared with advertisers.

If you type something into a calculator, it travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is discarded when the response is sent. We do not keep a history of what you calculated.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, Microsoft Clarity to see how the site behaves in a browser, and Google AdSense to show advertising. They set cookies, so we ask first. Nothing loads until you choose Accept, and you can change your decision at any time from the link in the footer.

AdSense, which serves and measures Google ads, may set cookies too. It loads only after you Accept and relies on Google cookies to show you ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can read Google's advertising policies and how it uses data from sites that use its services.

A consent banner appears on your first visit. If you choose Decline, no analytics script loads, no analytics cookie is set, and the banner will not ask again. You can change your decision at any time using the button in the footer, which clears the stored choice and reloads the page without trackers.

The consent choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage so we remember it. It never leaves your device and contains nothing about you.

Advertising

If advertising is shown, it is served by third-party networks which may set their own cookies or use device identifiers. Those networks are responsible for their own data collection, and their policies govern what they do.

Where we use personalised advertising, we pass only the minimum identifier needed to select an ad. We do not receive your name, email address, or any health information from advertising partners — we cannot see what you have typed into a calculator.

This is also why every calculator runs on our own server: your height and weight are never sent to an ad network, because the calculation does not need to be. See the Source and Methodology page for how each formula works.

Your rights

Because we do not store your inputs, there is normally nothing held about you to export or delete. Analytics data is aggregated and stored by Google and Microsoft under their own policies; you can control it through your Google and Microsoft account settings, or through the consent button in the footer.

Children

HealthCalc is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended for anyone under 16. It provides general health information, not care for an individual child.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it and the new text appears on this page. We will not apply a change retroactively to data already handled under an earlier version.
